Enjoy winter with much sun and snow in Gosautal. The ski area of Dachstein West, the biggest ski area in Upper Austria, offers fantastic and family-friendly pistes for all skiers and snowboarders.

Gosau is a paradise for cross-country skiers. Almost 31 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails are waiting for you. Skaters can ski on the separate trail. There are many cafes, bars and restaurants along the cross-country ski trails where you can relax and recharge your batteries.

For fans of curling, there are various lanes in Vordertal, Mittertal and Hintertal. In Hintertal, there is the toboggan lane, a forest track which was specially prepared therefor. After the approximately 20-minute ascent, with a fantastic view to Zwieselalm, Gamsfeld and Gosautal, the descent brings you back to the valley. This is great fun for the whole family.

The holiday apartment "Haus Wallner" is located in the centre of the winter sports area. There is no need for you to look for a parking space, as you can directly walk to the most important destinations from our guest house: only 350 yards to the ski lift "Hornspitzexpress" and only 200 yards to the cross-country ski trail. After our guests have spent the day on the piste, they can visit Gosau's indoor swimming pool free of charge and relax there.
